Westonbirt Arboretum – Go to Gloucestershire to visit the beautiful Westonbirt Arboretum. This is the time of year when the changing of the leaves really brings the arboretum into its own – with hundreds of species of trees to see as they put on their full autumn regalia this is the best time to visit and scrunch through the leaves on an autumn walk.

Grizedale Park – Cumbria is known to be one of the most stunning parts of the UK countryside, and particularly in the autumn months it really lights up. Grizedale is one of the most stunning places, on the edge of Lake Windermere you may even be lucky enough to see the local stags as they compete for the attention of the females by locking antlers.

Kielder Forest – As well as being a huge attraction to stargazers due to the skies here being notoriously dark at night, by day the forest is a blaze of beautiful colours. The views out over Kielder water are nothing short of breath-taking, and there is a 27-mile route that you can walk around the lake to take all of this in.
