A group of researchers from Salve Regina University of Newport, USA. Honey is effective in fighting off bacteria. “The unique property of this is in its ability to fight infections at various levels, which makes it more difficult for bacteria to develop resistance,” said the scientist, reported the portal doctor.

How does it work?

Honey uses a combination of weapons such as hydrogen peroxide, acidity, its osmotic effect, high sugar concentration and polyphenols, which kill bacterial cells, say researchers. It extracts water from the bacterial cells, dehydrating them and then they die.

2: Soften your throat

Honey is a natural expectorant, helps eliminate phlegm, and is useful for controlling and fighting infections in the throat, thanks to its antiseptic properties. To act directly on your throat, gargle with a warm infusion of raspberry leaves and two tablespoons of honey in half a cup of water.

3: Remove cough

A group of researchers at the University of Tel Aviv in Israel found that honey can have another important benefit: the treatment of nocturnal cough in young children. They suggest that a spoonful of honey before bedtime can help them not to cough and sleep better.

4: Relieves pitting

A very special advantage for summer: its anti-inflammatory properties help to reduce irritation in insect bites. Promotes a moist environment that allows the wounds to close without leaving a scar.

5: Great protector of the skin.

Honey is generally antibacterial. Its antibacterial formula used in skin treatment. Its anti-oxidant slowing down aging problem.  It helps to glow our skin.
