The role of the quantity surveyor is not necessarily the most glamorous.  While they may not be responsible for the actual design of the building,  this falls to the architect,  nor do they actually put the building up,  this falls to the job of the construction workers,  their role is just as equally important and if it is not completed then there is a very good chance of the building not being made in the first place.
